Arcadia Coffee House Newport

Matt and I recently stumbled upon the most enchanting coffee house, Arcadia Coffee House, nestled in the heart of Newport Arcade. This place is an absolute hidden gem, and I couldn’t wait to share our delightful experience with you all!

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a cozy yet opulent gothic vibe that instantly made us feel welcomed. Kyle, the master barista, was there to guide us through the eclectic array of taxidermy residents, including Jeff the squirrel, Russell and Cheryl Crow, and the fascinating two-headed crow duo, Jekyll and Hyde. These quirky details add so much character to the place!

But the surprises didn’t stop there. Even the bathroom was thoughtfully adorned, complete with essential items for freshening up – a lovely touch that made our visit even more special.

Now, let’s talk treats! Arcadia’s selection of cakes, cookies, and coffee is to die for. We indulged in a pot of tea for two and shared a slice of their heavenly coconut and raspberry cake. The best part? It was served with a mini spade as a spoon – how whimsical is that?! And all this deliciousness came to just £7. Absolute value for money.

The ambiance was just as perfect as the decor. We enjoyed music from Marilyn Manson and Linkin Park playing via Alexa, perfectly matching the gothic theme. Arcadia also hosts medium nights and open mic sessions, adding to its unique charm. If you’re ever in Newport, you absolutely must check it out!
